Aloha! Has anyone seen the Hunger Games yet? I've seen it two times and I might go for a third! I'm up to Mocking J as far as the book series is concerned and it's really good! I LOVED how Katness and Prim's relationship was portrayed in the movie the best! I also cried when Roo was killed. I thought the cast they got was incredible! What does everyone else think of the movie?
I haven't seen it yet but am planning on doing so. I loved the books. Hopefully the movie was done well enough that someone who's read the books but can't see the action on the screen will be able to follwo along.
I think that you just gave out a tun of spoilers for those that haven't seen the movie or read the books but would like to.
Really? I didn't think you'd be into that kind of thing! Pretty cool! I saw the movie with my cousin the other day because she wanted to go, and even though it wasn't at the top of my list, I thought why not? Anyway, it was pretty good. More action than dialog which honestly didn't thrill me, and I imagine the books have more to offer. I wasn't going to, but I think I may read the book after all!
Sorry! I'm on my second go around of the books! I'm on book two again! I highly recommend the books to you. They'll help the movie make a lot more sense.
I saw the movie with somebody who described the action to me the first time. I saw it again a couple weeks ago.
I thought the musical score throughout the movie was brilliant. it's something I would actually download and listen to, and I hate soundtracks.
I thought casting was spot on as well. Woody Herrilson was probably my favorite part of the movie. (He played Haymitch.)
I'm guessing the film for Catching Fire will be even better from a cinamatography point of view since the book isn't as full of events as the Hunger Games.
**spoiler alert**
I hope they'll make arena 2 really great in the movie. if it lives up to my expectations, it's going to be awesome.
Hunger games is Awesome! enough said.
While I'll agree about the film's soundtrackI never had any intention o seeing it simply because I'm not and have never been a fan of that type of thing. I ended up seeing it te other night and then again yesterday only because my GF rented it. I personally wasn't all that impressed, and not merely from a blindness standpoint. I just didn't feel any of the characters and those gamemakers in particular got on my nerves.
Hmm, I thought I had posted to this, but I guess not. Since it's gotten brought back to the top, I will.
I saw the movie several days after it came out, and was not at all impressed. The problem is that I absolutely love the books, and usually when Hollywood turns good books into movies, they really screw things up. This was no exception. the characters, which are so well developed in the books, are flat and shallow in the movie. Katniss is not likeable to me, they totally miscast Cinna, who is supposed to be young, and so forth. I'm told the visual effects are great, but if that's so, then that's about all it has going for it. I don't plan to see the next two when they come out. Suzanne Collins was apparently involved in the creation of the first movie, but not in the next one. If they made such a mess of it when the author was involved, I don't even want to know what they're going to do with it when she isn't.
